Description
The 2019 Porterdale Home and Architectural Tour, showcases a mix a favorites and newly renovated mill cottages and community buildings. Since implementing a series of strategies including the development of the Yellow River Park and kayak launch a community housing initiative and a Historic Preservation Ordinance, Porterdale is now enjoying the status of one of the most dynamic housing markets on the I20 corridor. In 2018 the community was on the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation's ramble, this year the Porterdale Historic Preservation Commission will have five homes, two churches on the historic jail on the tour. Porterdale Makers Market and Yellow River Jam on this date add to the experience.
